The earth heals us through our feet. Grounding is so important because it provides security within and outside. When we are not grounded we are always worried about finances, situations, we suffer with doubts & fears, we don't believe in ourself, and always expecting the worst.
When we are grounded we are secure in our decisions and are confident that we are moving the in the right direction. We are sure what we want to do in life and know how to handle obstacles when they arise.
Techniques to ground:
* Breath Prana in slowly by expanding your lungs, diaphragm, and chest. Hold your breathe for at least 5- 6 sec. then exhale slowly. Prana is the essence of life. We need it to live and when we are ungrounded we don't receive enough of it.

*Talk a walk outside and spend time with nature. The earth does heal us because it provides abundance in what we need. It is also suggested that you walk on the earth barefooted. Or, spend time hugging a tree as this helps exchange healing energies.

*Imagine yourself a tree and your feet are the roots that are firmly rooted within the earth's core. You can also picture yourself as a mountain.

*Exercise helps with the root chakra by helping us to relieve what is stressing us out. It helps us to be in the zone and increases our endorphins which helps us to feel better about ourself.

*Meditation helps by creating space within and allowing us to disconnect from the outside world. This in turn allows us to become centered and stills the mind to be in the present moment.

*Taking a salt bath. Salt helps by absorbing negative energies that may be blocking us or creating the fear factor. It also helps alleviate our tense muscles when our root chakra is not grounded. Tension on the muscles can block us from relaxing because it increases our cortison levels which causes inflammation and the fight or flight thought process.
